Why is my Zero settings/parameters disappearing from menu?

Zero settings/parameters disappearing from menu.


Most common resolution


Most likely this has happened following an update on the unit - depending on how large the update was, this can remove saved settings on the unit. We always advise to write down all zero settings from unit before going through an update/restore.


Troubleshooting step 1


If using 1st Gen Alpex, accidental button press of the menu button very likely when weapon over the users back. This is due to the menu button being on the side of the unit.


Troubleshooting step 2


Has the unit been updated, but not restored? If so, advise end user to restore the unit - not restoring any Hikmicro units can cause conflicts with the previous and new firmware versions.


Troubleshooting step 3

How old is the firmware on the unit? If the firmware is outdated, there could potentially be bugs with that version - connect unit to Sight App and update to newest firmware - ensure a restore is completed afterwards
