What Torque Settings for Scope rings and bases?
Correct Torques settings
Torque settings are best measured in inch/pounds for rings and bases.
Ring Top screws should be torques to 16-18 inch pounds side clamping screws on rings should be 23-25 inch pounds.
Base screws should be torqued to 25 inch pounds for steel receivers.
Alloy receivers generally 15 inch pounds but best to check with manufacturer recommendations.
